Evans investigates materials, process and form in order to think through the non-linearity of grief and healing. Captivated by the process of becoming, when something shifts from what it was to what it will be. In considering the constant flux of reality, her work itself is never ‘done.' Instead the incomplete gestures towards these cycles and the transitional spaces that underscore humanness. She is interested in how grief is malleable. How it can create just as much beauty as it can sadness.
